**Russian Checkers 8×8:**
**Move and Capture Rules:**
- White initiates the game.
- Checkers move exclusively on dark squares.
- Capturing an opponent's checker is mandatory if possible.
- Captures can be made both forward and backward.
- Kings move and capture along any diagonal.
- The Turkish strike rule applies: an opponent's checker can only be captured once in a single move.
- Choose any capture option if multiple are available (not necessarily the longest).
- A checker reaching the opponent's edge becomes a king and can immediately act as one if an opportunity arises.
**Draw Conditions:**
- A draw is declared if a player with checkers and three (or more) kings against a single opponent's king fails to capture the opponent's king within 15 moves after establishing the balance of forces.
- A draw is also declared if in a king-only position, the balance of forces remains unchanged for 30 moves in 4 and 5 piece endings, or 60 moves in 6 and 7 piece endings.
- If a player with three checkers (three kings, two kings and a checker, a king and two checkers, or three simple checkers) against one opponent's king on the "high road" cannot capture the king within five moves, a draw is declared.
- A draw occurs if players only move kings without moving simple checkers or capturing for 15 consecutive moves.
- A draw is declared if the same position repeats three or more times with the same player's turn.
**International Checkers 10×10:**
**Move and Capture Rules:**
- White starts the game.
- Checkers move solely on dark squares.
- Mandatory capture applies if an opportunity exists.
- Captures are allowed in both forward and backward directions.
- Kings can move and capture along any diagonal.
- The Turkish strike rule is in effect: only one capture per move.
- The majority rule mandates capturing the maximum number of checkers if multiple capture options are available.
- A simple checker can continue capturing after reaching the opponent's edge without becoming a king until the move ends.
- Upon reaching the opponent's edge by a move or capture, a simple checker becomes a king and stops moving, with king rules applicable on the next turn.
