MindsEye Launches to a Mixed Reception
A Plethora of Glitches, Bugs, and Performance Problems
Although MindsEye launched on June 10, it has already been flooded with player reports concerning glitches, bugs, and performance issues. Across social media, fans have shared their frustrating experiences and expressed disappointment with the game's current state.
On Twitter (X), user Synth Potato shared a glitched character screenshot on June 11, commenting, "MindsEye is not looking too good." Others echoed this sentiment, noting severe stuttering problems—some of the worst they've seen—even on hardware like the PlayStation 5 Pro.

Players have also circulated clips showcasing various bugs: enemies wandering aimlessly during fights, NPCs crashing and glitching extensively, and characters falling through the map. Consequently, the game has garnered "Mixed" reviews on Steam, with 60% of them being negative.
At Game8, we awarded MindsEye a score of 46/100. The game launched as an unoptimized, bug-ridden experience that fell short of expectations. Despite publisher IO Interactive's ambitious vision, it was marred by performance issues and clearly required more development time to polish its core mechanics and gameplay.
