Valve Unveils Major Deadlock Game Update
Valve has released a major update for Deadlock, completely overhauling the game's map design. The map has shifted from four lanes to three, bringing it more in line with the standard three-lane structure used in most popular MOBAs.
This adjustment is set to significantly change the flow of matches, forcing teams to rethink how they distribute their heroes. The previous "1 vs 2" lane setup is gone; now, each of the three lanes will typically be contested by two heroes, prompting new strategic approaches.

A new "map exploration" mode has also been added, letting players freely tour the environment without any enemy or allied heroes present. This is designed to help everyone get accustomed to the new layout more quickly.
The update also refines the Soul Orb system. Players can now collect souls without needing to land the final hit on an enemy, which should lead to faster resource gathering. Other soul-related changes include a shorter hover time before they can be collected.
Additional key changes include adjustments to sprint mechanics and hero balancing, plus new support for DLSS, FSR, NVIDIA Reflex, and Anti-Lag 2.0 technologies. The patch also includes general performance enhancements and fixes for numerous bugs. For a complete list of all changes, refer to the official patch notes.
